I watch a ton of anime, but I'm more a manga person than an anime person, really. Kakashi wasthebest thing about the series, though(followed by Shikamaru)
I can't begin to see Molly getting the sword. Thomas I can half see getting it, but I don't think he will. Murphy will be fine with any weapon known to any race, I think.
See, he listened to Max until Kitai took over ownership and just did a much better job of it. Max also has toned it down since becoming Tavi's subordinate, but Kitai doesn't believe in such things.
The only manga I keep up with are Fruits Basket and YuYu Hakusho. Kakahsi is first, with Gaara coming in second. And I'm fairly picky on the anime I watch.
Murphy getting the sword just makes a lot of sense. Especially with how Harry Sees her with his Sight.
True, he did listen to Max while they were at the Academy. But Kitai rules him so much better. Kitai could care less for the Aleran chain of command. He's hers and she'll do with him as she pleases. Whether he's a furyless farm boy, a Captain of a Legion, or next in line for the throne. ...as long as he keeps doing those wonderful things with his mouth...
Fruits Basket is great and was one of my first mangas. Yu Yu Hakusho is one I've always been turned off of, for whatever reason.
I'm not sure Kitai even acknowledges thatthe Aleran chain of command exists...I think it'sjust some annoying thing that causes Tavi stress, as far as she's concerned.
YYH was the first anime I got into. Something about it drew me in. Maybe the impossible situations overlayed with stupid humor. FB is always good. Though I wish they'd done a second season with the anime. I just picked up vol. 18, though I think I neglected to read 17, so it'll give me something to do a little later.
There are times (like now), that even Tavi seems to feel that way.
I'm amused that we're having two other conversations in these comments that are not Alera related. :)
I believe it wasn't read because a friend nabbed it from me and read it herself. BTW, who is on the cover of 18? Is it Kazuma Sohma? (Kyo's adoptive father) If so, he looked much better before the haircut.
I wished at times that Kitai would whack him upside the head and drag him off. Though for much dirtier reasons than the headaches in his life.
Now that I think about it...it is pretty common practice for me also.
Hmm...I haven't read it yet and I'm at work, so I'm not sure, but that SOUNDS right for the FB character.
I don't think the WHY of the whacking and dragging is as important as the whacking and dragging itself...we know what he'll e up to as soon as she has him all alone(and she will only wait for his poor, poor modesty's sake)
here's the cover art: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41lfDMs73kL._AA240_.jpg
Even Max knows what happens after the whacking and dragging, as he assumed that's what was going on back in the Elinarch while he and the rest of the First Aleran were getting drenched out in the field, when in all actuality he was heaving his guts up on a boat. (With Kitai curled up at his feet)
Yup, that's Shishou. He actually looks like an older Kyo with the h aircut(always liked him.)
And really, where else would Kitai be when her Aleran was having a bad day? Sadly, it was an impediment to fun things that she could not kill or traumatize.

sometimes I think Tavi wished that Kitai would just whack him upside the head and kidnap him so he could escape all the REAL headaches in his life.
Having 3-4 convos going and few or none connected to the original is kinda normal for me, really.
