The Dragonlance Series by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. I was obsessed with the books for two years, haha. I heard it was almost like R.A. Salvatore's novels, but I haven't read him myself.

If you do happen to start Dragonlance, "Dragons of Autumn Twilight" would be the "first" book. :)

Simon R. Green's Nightside novels, hell anything by Simon R. Green besides the Deathstalker novels will leave you entertained, disturbed and laughing.

Kelly McCullough's "Cybermancy" and "Webmage"

Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files saga.

Dean Koontz's Frankenstein and Odd Thomas novels.

P.N. Elrod's The Vampire Files books are a different, but still good cup of tea.

There are others, but this will definitely get you started.

What can I say, I like me some urban fantasy.

New series

I find it difficult to belive, but here is the question. Have you read the Wheel of TIme Series? 11 of 12 published so far with one prequal (read most of the series before the prequel, you may get lost). I have not gotten into many other fantasy authors, but I must admit I am having a hard time getting through book two of codex alera after finishing the wheel of time series. The world he creates is vast and complex without being difficult to follow. should keep you busy for awhile.

Try The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. It's a very good read.

Seems obvious maybe, but perhaps you haven't read the series 'A Song of Fire and Ice' by George R. R. Martin. So far there have been 4 of 7 installments released.
